Investments

We will spend a considerable amount of time assessing a clients attitude to risk and financial goals before making our recommendations. Each client who invests with GKD Shepherds Ltd will receive an Attitude to Risk Report specific to their investment requirements.

We operate within a defined investment process that allows our clients to get the appropriate advice for their needs.

Examples of the types of solutions we use include ISA’s (Individual Savings Accounts), Investment Bonds, Unit Trusts, Structured Products, bank deposits, both onshore and offshore, National Savings and Friendly Society products.

From time to time we may use more complex products such as VCT’s (Venture Capital Trusts) or EIS (Enterprise Investment Schemes) should they be appropriate to meet our client’s needs.

When considering an investment we will also consider your other needs, such as maintaining adequate savings on deposit in case of emergency, and will assess your investment needs for short, medium and long term planning as these can differ considerably.

Sometimes a client will have a specific goal in mind such as planning to fund a child through university, wedding costs, dream holiday etc… whatever your needs we are confident we will be able to provide a tailored bespoke solution that suits your particular circumstances.

Your tax position (both current and anticipated) will always be taken into account prior to making any recommendations, with a view to making sure any suggestions are in the most tax efficient form.

Once you are a client we will help you make the most of all the various tax allowances that the Government offers to ensure you only pay the tax that you have to.

When you take out an investment product your capital is at risk and the value of your investments can go down as well as up, so you could get back less than you invested.
